Mirillis action! 1.22.0 Critical Error 104 FIX

Warning:
The only way I know to get Mirillis action! 1.22.0 working, implies using it just offline.
So if you want to record online gameplay or something, the best I cant suggest is using a previous version (provided also at the end of this post).

First of all, Critical error 104 happens because the only available cracks/activators for Mirillis Action!, block their websites in the windows host file and firewall, to prevent the blacklisting of the serial number used for activation.
But version 1.22.0 shows Critical Error 104 if Mirillis websites are blocked either on the windows host file or in windows firewall.

According to Mirillis:
"Error 104 occurs if user has blocked our website, its hosts or ip address in firewall or in hosts file. It's usually caused by third party 'activators' for Action. Please remove all suspicious activity in your hosts file or/and firewall and you will be fine. If this error message still occurs we recommend to contact our support team via support@mirillis.com."

So how do we workaround this problem?

Before anything else, uninstall Mirillis action if it has been ever installed in your PC.
If not, skip to the Install part.

:::Uninstall:::
1-Search for "Mirillis Action!" in Programs and features and uninstall it.

2-Run Ccleaner's "Registry cleaner" in search for Mirillis action remaining entries.

3-Search your hard drive disk C: for anything named "Mirillis" Wait for the results.
Delete everything.

After uninstalling Mirillis Action! there will always be remaining registry entries and files/folders,
I can assure you, so doing this is important.
4-Reboot you PC.

:::Install:::
1-Download "Mirillis Action! 1.22.0 critical error 104 FIX" .rar file which you can find at the end of this post.
It is actually just a pre-activated version of Mirillis Action V1.22.0.

2-Uncompress and install. As this is a custom pre-activated install wizard, a command prompt will rapidly pop up.
This will block Mirillis website in windows host file and firewall (which we do not want, but will happen anyway).
DO NOT RUN ACTION! AFTER INSTALL.

3-Now we have to unblock Mirillis websites. So try to visit www.mirillis.com. You shouldn't be able to reach it.

:::Unblock Mirillis websites from windows host file:::
Warning: This method will work for Windows 7  and previous.
For Windows 8, you'll have to get yourself a tutorial on how to modify the Windows 8 host file since I have no experience doing it.

1-Find the host file, located in: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

2-Right click it, and select properties in the contextual menu.
3-Make sure that "Read only" is unchecked or this won't work.

4-Look for "Notepad" in Windows start menu - All programs - Accessories and right click it to run as administrator.

5-In Notepad, click File - Open.
6-Type or copy and paste C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc in the address bar when looking for the file to be opened.
7-Since it's just a file without extension and not a text file, it wont show up, so type "hosts" in the file name box and then click "Open".
8-The hosts file looks like this:

Some websites related to Mirrillis should be there, so delete everything after this:
"# localhost name resolution is handle within DNS itself.
#       127.0.0.1       localhost
#       ::1             localhost"

SAVE the changes.

:::Unblock Mirillis websites from windows firewall:::
1-In control panel open "Firewall".

2-Click advanced settings.

3-Click "Outbound Rules"
In the right list look for anything that looks like this:

4-Those are blocked sites, delete them all, you can select all at once.
Search for blocked sites in "Inbound Rules" as well, delete them if you find any.

Now, try to visit www.mirillis.com.
The site should display now.

That's it.
Now, DISCONNECT FROM THE INTERNET.
You can run Mirillis Action! and it will work.

If you connect to the Internet, the serial number used in the pre-activated installation will probably be blacklisted and the program will be blocked.
